About Gray Matter:
After 20 years working in the computer industry at senior
levels for Philips Electronics, I retired and setup my own distribution and
consultancy companies. The consultancy
company – Gray Matter – I formed in partnership with my son Oliver. I have many years of experience in the
computer industry including not only the physical maintenance of Personal
Computers and Networks but also in deciding the best solution for individual
problems. About John Gray:
I was President of Philips US computer operations based in Dallas
for 3 years, and then President of Philips multimedia software development
business in WashingtonDC
– CapDisc. At CapDisc I supervised
nearly 100 major software developments varying from games to professional
training applications for the US Army. I continue my technical development by spending 10 – 15
hours per week studying and researching new technologies in the PC and
networking field. I believe that is
what differentiates our business from competitors. We will “fix” today’s
problem at competitive rates, but additionally we will offer measured advice on
how to best use computers for your business in the future. We offer technology
services from a simple spyware removal to a new multi PC network specification
and installation. We also offer e-marketing
services again ranging from ebay selling services to full web site
specification and development. We
consider hosting, email and blogs to be commodities and do not offer these as
direct products, we will however setup and manage these on our customers
behalf. About Oliver Gray:
I am a full time college student currently studying business
writing and English at Salisbury University
in Salisbury, Maryland.
I have always had a true passion for computers and the challenges involved
therein, so it only made sense to work in the same field. I devote much of my
time staying on top of internet trends, emerging computer technology and the
latest in wireless networking, computing, and communication. I have roughly 6 years experience working in
the computer field as a network technician and general computer technician,
with even more of my personal time spent building and maintaining computers and
servers. Our philosophy is one of customer respect; we are not a “hit
and run” style computer repair company that seems all too prevalent these days,
but instead build good relations with our customers while offering very competitive
prices. I have worked closely with my Father over the past 3 years solving many
computer problems ranging from simple virus removal to complete system
overhaul. If you have any questions directly for me, feel free to send an e-mail (you’ll
find it in the contact section). |
